Finding the right course is essential to getting the right Job or CSCS card and at nationaltradesmen most employers want you to be properly qualified for the job and prove you have done the Health and safety test.

At the moment there are several different types of card depending on your qualifications.

The basic card for labourers that have been health and safety tested is a green card like the one below.

cscs green card The basic card for construction site operatives has been discontinued. Labourers need to apply for a new card.
cscs trainee worker card There is also a red card which is issued to trainees and workers who have been HSE tested. Trainee card above.

Then we have a red card which is issued to trainees, apprentices, and technicians that have been HSE tested .
cscs skilled worker card Following on from the red card is the blue card which is for skilled workers like qualified carpenters or bricklayers as seen above
cscs gold worker card Gold cards are issued to those who have completed extra training like an NQV level three or a full apprenticeship and are HSE tested.
cscs silver professional card
Silver cards are for those who have obtained a professional qualification like architects or quantity surveyors who have been health and safety tested.
cscs woman professional card
Silver cards are also use by qualified professionals that have been health and safety tested but may not have a construction qualification.
cscs yellow no qual card
Finally there is the yellow card which is issued to those who have to visit construction sites but have no recognisable qualifications these can be used from non construction jobs .
cscs black worker card
Managers who have completed their CIOB training will be issued with a black card this shows they have the relevant training to supervise and are HSE tested to do so.
